EULOGY FOR THE LATE ANDRE FREDRICK WILLIAMSON

Andre Fredrick Williamson affectionaly known as "RAGGA" was born July 23rd 1979 in the Black River Hospital, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica West Indies son of Donald Everton Williamson and Andrewlyn Williamson - Housen. He was the third youngest in the matrimonial home and the seventh of brothers and sisters. Namely, Donald (Junior), Juddi- Shae (Zoey), Tracy-Ann, Dave (Benson) Winsome (Beanie), Donnovan, Alecia (Lis Lis) and Douglas (Dougie).

Growing up as a young child he attended the Knoxwood Basic School, MountainSide Primary School, Burnt Savannah Primary School, St. Elizabeth Technical High School and later finished his curriculum at the Newell Secondary School in fine style. Andre was no regular teenager. He had a swagger for neatness and was the talk of the school when he started taking a briefcase to school instead of a regular backpack. He was just too "fly"

He was an all rounder kid, a great brother to his sisters and to his other brothers and a mischievous but loving son. He was a charmer and even at that age he had a heart full of loyal friends, friends who were there to ride with him to Ridge Penn to visit his Grandma and Grandpa on a bicycle, friends who would go fishing and bird shooting together. Whether it’s building project or tend to a crop of land or animals to feed or a "boat to run" (cooking) Andre would get help from his friends. He had aspiration, dreams, big dreams and wanted to go places and do big things.

10 years ago England soil was blessed with our very own dreamer. As he seeks to continue his life journey he began reaching for the stars. Andre got married and was blessed with (3) beautiful girls LaShaunna, Leighanna and LaKayla and was later blessed with Valentino Andre “Rossi” son, to help carry on the Williamson name. He also had a special someone, the vivacious Andrene “Lee” Smith who loved, understood and was there for him every step of the way, even in death. He loved his children so much, they were his everything. He spends endless time with them teaching, loving and caring for them. Recently, before his passing he organized a “Daddy Day” with 10 of his closest male friends and their kids and did tours, shopping, shows and treats with the kids. To this day they are still amazed at his genius ideas and the tender love he had for his kids. He had a passion for bikes, cars and enjoyed living life to the fullest. He met numerous friends and special people while living in England. He helped and received much needed help from a lot of FRIENDS. He was loved, respected and considered a true icon in his own way.

Andre’s love was not only for his family but for people in general, he adored and loved his father “Big Ragga Danny” and his mother Ms Angie whose name he tattoed on his arm. He was extremly close to his Brothers and Sisters. He loved his Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, StepMother and StepFather Nieces, Nephews, Brother-in-laws, Sister-in-law’s, Stepbrothers and Stepsisters. He had a heart of pure refined gold. He was indeed a kind soul. He was magnetic and everyone was drawn to his energy. He was popular, sociable and had a army of loyal friends way too many to mention.

Andre breathed sleep and eat Jamaica. He would have loved to have gone back home and reunite with the land he loved so dearly and relaxed in his dream house he was building for his children.

We will always remember his sharp tongue, his kindness, his manners and most of all his unusual sayings like:-

“Nuh sey nutting man mi good”
“Jus do ur ting”
“Soon come man” (Which is like 20 hours after)
“Nuh watch nuh face”

It is in distressing circumstances that his life was shortened on August 11, 2009 way too soon. We pray that his soul will find a resting place on the right hand of Jesus.

Andre, will be remembered as a Loving Son, a Dedicated Brother, Dependable/Reliable Father, Caring Uncle, Fun Loving Brother in law, Sweet Cousin, Compassionate Partner, Kind Husband, Outgoing Stepbrother and a Trust Worthy Loyal Friend!

He will be truly MISSED by all who came in contact with him, he has indeed enriched our lives with love loyalty and trust.

Andre, Rest in peace dear one, we will NEVER stop loving you. Your name will be on our lips and in our heart everyday.....

Andre was laid to rest on Saturday September 26, 2009 in the Family Plot, Mountainside, St. Elizabeth Jamaica W.I.
